After the West Regional First Round of Nationals meet Coach Hays and Coach Compton qualify multiple pole vaulters for the NCAA Division I National Championship Meet in Eugene, Oregon June 7th - 11th. Both coaches have had great success at the first round meet so it is not surprising that they will be coaching at the National meet again this year.

Coach Hays last won an individual national title in 2010 when Jordan Scott won the men’s vault. With KU vaulters in this years men’s vault, Coach Hays is looking to try and grab another individual title on the men’s side.

Along with the two individuals in the men’s vault Coach Hays will have one female vaulter at the meet trying to steal one of the top spots for the three women Coach Compton has qualified. Among those three female vaulters Coach Compton has, he is bringing back the defending outdoor national champion to try and reclaim the title.

As these coaches go on to coach at Nationals we are very excited that both Coach Hays and Coach Compton will be joining us for this years University of Kansas Pole Vault Camp. Registration is still open for this camp so get registered today to reserve your spot.
